Inventory Metric

Only those cars we deem exceptional are offered for sale.

With an extensive network of friends and colleagues, Roberto converses daily with contacts in Italy, to locate potential cars. He frequently travels to Europe to evaluate each vehicle determining whether or not it meets with his highly demanding standards. Most do not. Those that do, are shipped to our shop where we complete a thorough assessment of its mechanical and electrical systems. Parts are then ordered, and installed. Rarely does it take less than several weeks to complete. All work orders and internal evaluations accompany our cars at time of delivery. We take great pride in our end products; original cars that perform at least as well as new, priced below market value of comparable cars.

1970 LANCIA Fulvia 1600 HF Fanalone Fixed-Head Coupé

One of 1,258 built. Orange two-owner Stradale (street) version brought over directly from Italy (previous owner information is available). 1.6 liter DOHC 13º V4 motor (with blue and yellow wrinkle-finish valve cover specific to the HF model) mounted inline producing 115 bhp @6,200 RPM. Included with this famed and desirable Lancia sports / rally model is a color copy of original Italian registration booklet that has been authenticated by town registrar offices of the City of Milan.

Coachwork is alleggerita (lightened) with aluminum door and hood and factory bumpers-delete option. Other weight-saving measures include removal of the radio and sound-deadening material, and substitution of Plexiglas for the glass in the windows and backlight. The nickname Fanalone (Italian for “big headlamps”) comes from its oversized lamps mounted with endurance rallying in mind.

Designed by Piero Castagnero, the petite Fulvia sports coupe was introduced in 1965 and in 1600 HF (“High Fidelity”) Fanalone trim soon became a winning competition car in European rally sports, culminating with a 1972 victory in the famed Monte Carlo rally when driven by seven-time World Rally Championship winner Sandro Munari.

Lancia’s two-decade dominance in FIA World Championship Rally competition is an achievement that no manufacturer, whether Citroën or Peugeot, Mitsubishi or Subaru, has been able to approach to date. And there is arguably no single Lancia sports car that better exemplifies the firm’s commitment to rally competition than the Fulvia 1600 HF Fanalone.
